As many as 200 patrons have fallen ill from eating at that Chipotle on July 29 and 30, according to the Delaware General Health Department. The victims include a number of employees who called in sick on those days.
The suit was filed in Delaware County, Ohio, on behalf of Filip Szyller, who is still undergoing medical treatment after becoming extremely ill from eating chicken tacos at the Sawmill Parkway Chipotle on July 29. He has since experienced fever, diarrhea, nausea, headaches, fatigue, and hot and cold flashes.
“The stomach pain feels awful, and the diarrhea and hot and cold flashes come and go in waves,” Szyller said. “This has caused me to miss work and it’s not getting any better” said Szyller in an interview today.”
Ron Simon & Associates Establishes Chipotle Claims Center
Lead attorney Ron Simon issued the following statement today:
“My firm represents numerous victims of this outbreak, and we have prosecuted hundreds of cases in the past against Chipotle. Unfortunately, this is the seventh outbreak caused by Chipotle in recent years. Through this lawsuit and many others to come, we will find out where Chipotle failed to protect its customers and make sure that they do not do so again.”
Mr. Simon and his law firm have established a Chipotle Claims Center to assist victims in the outbreak. The Chipotle Claims Center can be reached toll-free at 1-888-335-4901 or online at www.foodpoisoningnews.com
